Product Description This brief version of Gravetter and Wallnau's proven best seller offers the straightforward instruction, accuracy, built-in learning aids, and wealth of real-world examples that professors AND students have come to appreciate. The authors take time to explain statistical procedures so that students can go beyond memorizing formulas and begin gaining a conceptual understanding of statistics. By integrating applications that reinforce concepts to ensure that even students with a weak background in mathematics can understand statistics, the authors skillfully demonstrate that having an understanding of statistical procedures helps students comprehend published findings, and become savvy consumers of information.

Statistics Book October 6, 2008 Foulacy 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great book. Very logical and straight forward. It makes learning statistics very easy. I took a statistics course a few years ago, prior to the one I am taking now. I had a hard time learning it then, but now I am grasping all the concepts fairly well. This is a good book and it was essentially brand new even though I bought it used. Sweet!
Great book! April 30, 2009 D.T.C. (Los Angeles, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Easy to read and understand, easy help on homework problems on odd numbers (let's you check figures), simplifies statistics (however, I would've preferred that the book actually uses the actual signs of the formula rather than use letters in place of a formula). Overall, its a great book and would definitely recommend it.

I am very pleased with this book. Buying this book from Amazon.com helped me out alot with the cost. This book is easy too read and definitions and examples and problems too work. The book also has a companion website that is also very helpful.
Great Book!! June 22, 2008 M. Walach (New England) Great book on stats! I never took a stats class before. This book is written well enough that I could have just read it and tested out of my class!
Well-written book July 12, 2008 Catherine A. Laverick (Delaware) This book is quite expensive, but I was able to teach myself because it is so well-written. It is very readable, and contains many helpful examples. I highly recommend it.
